POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Vice President & Director of Athletics, the Associate AD for Basketall Development is responsible for managing a major and leadership annual giving portfolio designed to support Men’s and Women’s Basketball. This position is expected to operate with a high level of independence and decision making capabilities and judgement, and will solicit financial contributions within and outside the Greater Richmond area to support both basketball programs. Travel is required for meetings, events, and home/away games.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, skills & ability:
Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, along with the ability to work with diverse internal and external constituencies
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, in conjunction with comfort level of working in a fast-paced environment while handling multiple projects required
Demonstrated strong written and oral communication skills
Proven ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team environment
Personal solicitation experience required
Skill in use of personal computers, standard office software applications, and fundraising software, with an understanding of database management
Demonstrated ability to maintain confidentiality
Valid driver’s license with a good 3-year driving history
Education & experience:
Seven to ten years of experience in fundraising, preferably in higher education, with a proven track record of success
Scheduled Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8:30 am to 5pm. 38.75 hours per week.
SALARY STRUCTURE :
Pay Grade 9 (Hiring Range $74,672.00 to $116,668.00 annually)
