Associate AD for Student-Athlete Health & Wellness / Instructor

The University of Evansville (UE) Athletics Department and the School of Health Sciences invite applications for a dynamic, dual-appointment Associate AD for Student-Athlete Health & Wellness / Instructor.

This leadership position bridges collegiate athletics and academic instruction, playing a critical role in overseeing our comprehensive Sports Medicine and Sports Performance operations while mentoring future healthcare professionals in our accredited Athletic Training Program. Key Responsibilities

As a dual-appointment administrator and faculty member, your responsibilities span both campus athletics and the classroom:

  • Sports Medicine Oversight: Manage the day-to-day operations of the Sports Medicine Program, including primary and secondary sport assignments for athletic training staff to ensure comprehensive home and away coverage.
  • Sports Performance Management: Oversee daily operations of the Sports Performance Program, including staff supervision, fiscal management, and scheduling of the Sports Performance Center.
  • Administrative & Financial Leadership: Handle departmental administration, including budget management, personnel oversight, and complex staff coverage scheduling during overlap seasons.
  • Medical Coordination: Partner closely with team physicians, local medical providers, and the UE Campus Health Center to coordinate orthopedic and general medical care and referrals.
  • Academic Instruction & Preceptorship: Teach courses within the School of Health Sciences / Athletic Training Program and serve as a designated preceptor, providing hands-on clinical mentorship for athletic training students.
  • Departmental Collaboration: Work in close partnership with the Deputy AD / SWA and NCAA Health Administrator to maintain elite standards of student-athlete care and compliance.
