Associate Athletic Director for Business & Finance

PRIMARY DUTY: The Associate Athletics Director for Business & Finance will be responsible

for all the financial operations of the Athletics department as well as ticketing operations for

home events.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1. Is responsible for the day-to-day management of financial and budgetary controls within the department including the supervision of all financial activity to ensure compliance with State and University regulations
2. Serves as a liaison to the University Finance Department and Northwest Foundation regarding budgets and budgeting, payments, transfers, and reconciliations
3. Serves as ticketing coordinator of all home events: arranging gameday personnel and ticketing operations
4. Provides leadership and management of all ticket sales, policies, and operations
5. Plans and implements the Athletics M-Club Hall of Fame banquet
6. Serves as Treasurer of the M-Club AND Bearcat Booster Club through the Northwest Foundation
7. Adheres to all NCAA, MIAA and institutional rules, requirements and regulations 
8. Assists the Director of Athletics with special projects as assigned
9. Performs other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree  

Skills: Understanding of accounting practices, ability to relate to a wide range of personalities,

ability to provide supervision and leadership in challenging situations, and problem solving

skills    

WORKING CONDITIONS:  This position must work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary. This position may travel on behalf of the university athletic department at times as well. This position must purchase and maintain a cellular device and service that will be used for work functions. This position must be responsible for plan choices, calling areas, service features, terminations clauses, and paying for all charges associated with the device and service.        

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:  Supervises members of the Athletics staff and student employees       

TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS:  Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
