This position will oversee the development and execution of the comprehensive marketing and fan engagement strategy that enhances the overall fan, experience, builds brand affinity, and drives revenue through ticket sales and fan participation. This position will focus on leveraging digital marketing, data analytics, and innovative in-person experience to engage the community including student, alumni, and local supporters. The Associate AD will lead cross-functional teams and collaborate with university partners to create engaging game-day environments, cultivate lasting fan loyalty, and support the growth of Long Beach State Athletics’ visibility and reputation.
Ability to develop ongoing relationships with season ticket holders, local community, and donors. Ability to guide others in policy and procedures in support of the athletics department and the university. Organizational Savvy – Maneuvering comfortably through complex policy, process, and people-related organizational dynamics. Drives Results – Consistently achieve results, even under tough circumstances and thrive in fast-paced, high-pressure environments. Strong customer service skills over the telephone, in person, and through written communication. Must be proficient in the use of basic computer applications.
Ability to communicate with an ethnically and culturally diverse campus community. Ability to follow all university policies, procedures, and guidelines including but not limited to safety, civility, information security, and non-discrimination policies and procedures. Ability to contribute to a positive university experience for each and every student and assist in achieving the university's commitment to a "vision of excellence."

Equivalent to a bachelor's degree and a minimum of seven years of progressive advanced professional experience in Athletic marketing, promotions, or public relations required.
• Prior NCAA Division I collegiate or professional athletics preferred.
•Valid CA Driver's License preferred.
Employees who are required to operate motorized vehicles and/or use their personal vehicle more than once a month on university business are required to take a mandatory Defensive Driving course and enroll in the DMV Employee Pull Notice (EPN) Program.
Athletics
Hiring Range : The hiring range for this position is $7,667 - $8,750 per month commensurate with candidate's education, experience, skills, and training.
CSU MPP Compensation Summary Range: The MPP Comp Summary Range for this position is $7,240 - $10,850 per month.
Salary placement is determined by the education, experience, and qualifications the candidate brings to the position, internal equity, and the hiring department’s fiscal resources.
This is a management level position with an attractive benefits package, which includes a vacation accrual rate of 16 hours per month, and excellent choice of medical, dental, and vision insurance, long term disability coverage, life insurance, educational fee waiver, and retirement benefits.
