The University of Nebraska at Omaha Athletic Department is seeking a dynamic, passionate, and skilled Associate Athletic Director of Clinical and Performance Psychology to provide mental health support and performance coaching to our student-athletes, helping athletes achieve their full potential both on and off their playing surface. This leadership position offers a unique opportunity to work fully embedded in athletics, making a direct impact on the well-being and performance of our athletes. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering team and individual sports performance consultations as well as integrated psychological services to student-athletes including, but not limited to, mental health psychology services, drug and alcohol counseling, diagnostic assessments, crisis intervention and therapeutic treatment for Omaha Athletics’ student-athletes. This position will also serve on the Sports Performance Leadership Team as part of the multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals.
As part of an established and highly utilized clinic, the Associate Athletic Director will benefit from a high level of organizational support, including strong collaboration with athletic administration, coaches, medical staff, and campus/community mental health resources. While providing consultation for coaches, athletic department staff, and other constituents, this position will develop and cultivate preventative and educational presentations on sports-psychology, with an emphasis on evidence-based practices for overall student-athlete health and wellbeing. This position will report to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director of Performance/Athletic Healthcare Administrator.

Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience, including work with athletes in both mental health and performance contexts. Experience working with collegiate athletes is highly desirable.

Licensed or eligible for licensure as a psychologist in the state of Nebraska.

- Knowledge of NCAA regulations regarding mental health and performance coaching.
