Universtity Athletics - Facilitiies

Job Summary

Oversee, direct and plan the overall Event, Facility, and Grounds operations of the Athletics Department with budget oversight of all these operations. Ensure facilities, planning, and operations are consistent to build consistency for Georgia Southern University and Athletics program.

Responsibilities

• Manage game and event operations duties, including all areas under Events, Facilities, and Grounds
• Serve as point of contact for all game officials and to the Sun Belt Conference for Events
• Budget oversight of the entire Events, Facilities, and Grounds operations budgets, including staff accountability
• Hire and supervise staff by maintaining employee information on attendance and performance, training and development, and procedures and methods to improve the quality of work performance to excel towards the overall mission and vision of GS Athletics
• Hire, communicate and oversee all with third party vendors that support operations of Events, Facilities, and Grounds to provide a safe and enjoyable environment for patrons
• Plan, maintain and communicate work systems, procedures, and policies
• Communicate with all Coaches, staff, and administration regarding scheduling, event operations, etc. for all competitions
• Oversee the Athletics Facility Supervisor and all Athletic Sports Turf full-time staff members
• Ensure all Georgia Southern Athletic events are staffed, organized, and run to competition standards  

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree

Required Experience

• Five (5) or more years of applicable experience

• Master's Degree

Proposed Salary

$65,000 - $75,000

_ This is an exempt position paid on a monthly basis. _
