Master’s degree preferred. NATA certification and be eligible for Georgia athletic training licensure. Minimum of two years of related experience in intercollegiate sports medicine program. Knowledge of NCAA and SEC regulations desired. | | Position Summary |
Supervise and coordinate athletic training services for student-athletes participating in intercollegiate athletic programs – primarily men’s and women’s track and field / cross country – with the University of Georgia Athletic Association (UGAAA), working under the medical direction of the head team physician and in conjunction with a variety of other healthcare providers as well as UGAAA staff (including but not limited to athletic training, physical therapy, athletic coaching, strength and conditioning, sports nutrition, behavioral medicine, academics, and administration). | | Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies |

Healthcare Administration and Professional Responsibility:

• Prepare injury reports.
• Document in electronic medical record.
• Collect pertinent medical paperwork.
• Collect injury incident data for research purposes.
• Coordinate student-athlete medical appointments.
• Maintain primary and satellite athletic training rooms.
• Maintain certifications and licensures on national and state level as appropriate.
• Participate in continuing education opportunities, both individually and with the sports medicine staff.
• Perform basic administrative duties for the sports medicine department (assist with intern hiring committee).
• Create / present professional programming as assigned.
• Follow NCAA, SEC, UGA policies, procedures, and regulations.
