About the Opportunity

JOB SUMMARY

Assist the head coach in maintaining a highly competitive Division I women's volleyball program to include coordination of the recruitment process of prospective student-athletes, practice and game coaching, fundraising, and to act as a liaison with campus units such as the Compliance Office, Sports Performance and Student-Athlete Academic Support units. 

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. Candidate must have a minimum of five years of coaching experience and a thorough knowledge of recruiting practices and NCAA regulations. Strong verbal and written communication skills and prior experience in a supervisory role are recommended. Must be able to work nights and weekends. Travel is required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

Practice and Game Plan Preparations & Strategies:

Prepare practice and game plans as needed for pre-season, in season, post season and summer trainings.  Develop and teach drills and techniques that advance player development.  Analyze, create, and deliver scouting reports to direct and guide strategies for upcoming opponents.   Provide in game assessments in real time to implement necessary strategic adjustments.  Collaborate with staff, attend practices and assist head coach in drill and scrimmage situations in an effort to best prepare the student-athletes for successful competition.
