The Associate Director of Admissions Recruitment is an integral member of the Office of Admissions. This position is the first-line supervisor of the Admissions Counselor team of recruiters and collaborates closely with University Track Center and Transfer coordinators to provide strategic leadership to the recruitment and outreach efforts of the University.
The Associate Director works to ensure that new student enrollment goals for first-year, transfer, and returning students are met each enrollment term via recruitment efforts. This position oversees recruitment travel both in-state and out-of-state and works collaboratively with the Admissions Counseling staff, Operations and Processing, Communications and Technology, Visitor Center, PACK Center, Academics, Extended Studies, and other University departments to conduct yearly and regular on-boarding and training for recruitment staff to have the best up-to-date information for recruitment efforts.

This position establishes and maintains relationships with local, regional, and out-of-state school counselors, community college advisors, teachers, administrators, community resources, and other key contacts to facilitate recruitment activities.
This position also is the role of Athletic Liaison, attending the regular Head Coaches Meetings with the Athletic department and reporting in both directions important information on upcoming events, policies, and opportunities for collaboration and streamlining. This position is responsible for meeting with and/or facilitating information for prospective student athletes (PSAs), including facilitating information sessions for visiting PSAs, helping domestic and international PSAs throughout the admissions process, and working with coaches to ensure PSAs are expediently and comprehensively informed and helped through the process and connected with appropriate information and departments.

Supervision of Staff - Hire, train, and oversee the schedules of members of the recruitment team. - Collaborate with University Track Center, Transfer, Rural, Nursing, and other recruitment-adjacent coordinators and employees to ensure they are well-informed, supplied, and regularly engaged with to maximize new student enrollment - Oversee goal setting, track and evaluate performance, and provide on-going feedback. - Oversee inventory and disbursement of admissions recruitment materials - Oversee maintenance of State fleet vehicles
Recruitment and Outreach Management - Oversee day-to-day domestic recruitment operations, including coordinating travel and regular school visits, assisting with the creation and execution of a strategic recruitment plan, and providing data and insight to assist with strategic enrollment efforts such as search name purchases and personal outreach. - Provide coordination support for University Track Center and community outreach particularly to build a college-going culture in Southern Colorado. Provide leadership and support for enrollment events and provide direction to the Admissions team to maximize return-on-investment for time and efforts recruiting students. Coordinate with High School Programs in Extended Studies to support recruiting of concurrent or dual-enrollment students.
Recruitment budgeting and data reporting - Collaborate with Executive Director and Admissions leadership to review budget and complete procurement of needed recruitment materials - Forecast and monitor admissions travel and recruitment budgets - Collect and report regularly on data regarding enrollment including new inquiries, applications, admits, deposits, the performance of new enrollment initiatives and events, and progress toward goals
Coordination with NCAA / RMAC Athletic Recruitment - Act as Athletic Liaison and provide administrative support for Pack Athletics for the recruitment of athletes. Act as point-of-contact for admissions-related information between EMES and Athletics
