Organization's Summary Statement:
As a member of the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics development team, the Associate Director of Development and Executive Director, M Club, is responsible for the planning and implementation of strategies, programs, and projects that increase alumni athlete participation and engagement.
The Associate Director of Development and Executive Director, M Club will serve as the staff liaison for the M Club Board and assist the volunteer organization for alumni athletes in the implementation and management of M Club programs, policies and governance. The position will develop and implement a comprehensive alumni athlete engagement strategy with a goal of strengthening the connection between alumni athletes and both the university and athletics department, as well as fostering a connection between current student-athletes and the network of alumni athletes. The Associate Director of Development and Executive Director, M Club will help identify and engage alumni athletes for future volunteer leadership and philanthropic support of both athletics and UMD, manage and execute M Club events and lead effective alumni athlete communications. This development professional is expected to partner effectively with both University Relations and ICA staff, and campus staff, faculty and volunteers.

Work is performed in an office environment and requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards. Requires the ability to travel up to 60% of the time, and availability to work some evenings and weekends. This position may also require periodic overnight, out of town travel.

Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Five (5) years of professional development, fundraising or external relations experience.
Other: The position may or may not involve supervisory responsibilities.
