The Iowa State University Athletics Department is seeking hard working, responsible, motivated candidates for an entry-level, associate position supporting Athletics Academic Services. This position will be exposed to professional aspects of collegiate athletics academic development activities in a progressive learning mode.
What you’ll do:
The successful candidate must possess effective communication and multi-tasking skills, ability to work collaboratively and maintain confidentiality, be highly organized, and perform with a high level of integrity. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body. This position requires the ability to work occasional evenings and weekends.
Position Details: Structured similar to a post-grad internship. $14-$15/hour plus overtime pay; receives paid time off; full benefits package.
Term of Appointment: July 2025 - June 2026

• Individual contributor position with developing professional and/or technical skills working under immediate to general supervision
• Grasps professional-level knowledge and concepts of field while working in a progressive learning mode
• Works on problems and issues of somewhat limited scope
• Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data for which answers are available or can be obtained
• Responds to inquiries and issues, escalating to manager or higher level workers as appropriate
• May lead projects of limited scope and complexity
• May provide guidance to students
