Purpose of Role

The Associate Head Coach for Women's Basketball will support the needs of the Head Coach while being responsible for providing leadership, innovative vision and strategic planning for Daemen Women's Basketball. Assists the Head Coach in maintaining the annual budget which includes team travel, recruiting, scheduling, promotion of the team and University, fundraising and alumni events, equipment purchase/inventory and community service efforts.

About This Opportunity

Joining our Athletics team, the Associate Head Coach will be responsible for the following:

  • In collaboration with the Women's Basketball Head Coach, provides general oversight and direction for day-to-day plans, goals, and activities of the women's basketball programs.
  • Supervises graduate assistant coach and student managers.
  • Coordinates all aspects of the recruitment of future student-athletes, which includes evaluation of prospective student-athletes both nationally and internationally.
  • Conduct individual in-season and out-of season skill development and conditioning sessions.
  • Serve as the liaison with the department of student success to enforce the team guidelines in regards to academic development.
