Job Summary

The Associate Head Coach, Women’s Golf, supports the Director of Golf in all phases of Lamar University’s NCAA Division I golf programs, including coaching, recruiting, student-athlete development, operations management, compliance, and program administration. This position promotes academic and athletic success while fostering competitive excellence and adherence to NCAA, Southland Conference, and Lamar University policies and procedures. The Associate Head Coach may serve as the primary decision-maker in the absence of the Director of Golf.

Essential Job Functions

Coaching and Student-Athlete Development:

  • Instruct and develop student-athletes in all aspects of golf, including technical skills, course management, mental performance, and competitive strategy.
  • Design and implement practice plans, training sessions, and competitive preparation for the women’s golf program.
  • Provide individualized development plans to enhance performance and maximize student-athlete potential.
  • Assist with tournament strategy, lineup decisions, and performance analytics.
