Essential Duties
Assist the head coach and offensive coordinator in the coordination of the offense, playbook, opponent scouting reports, depth charts, daily practice plans, player evaluations.
Coach the Offensive Line
Breakdown and analyze all defensive coaching strategies of opponent.
Studying game-film while game planning and installing specific game plans.
Evaluate athletes’ skills and review performance records to determine strengths and weakness of that week’s opponent. Analyze the strengths and weaknesses of the Bentley University offensive line and provide weekly reports to offensive coordinator.
Assist in planning, coaching and practice sessions in accordance with NCAA regulations.
Counsel assigned student athletes on academic, athletic, and personal issues.
Identify and recruit potential athletes.
File scouting reports that detail player assessments and provide recommendations on athlete recruitment. Monitor the academic eligibility of prospective student athletes and ensure the academic integrity of the institution is maintained in the acceptance of recruited athletes.
Emphasize, support, and monitor the educational activities of the student-athletes to help ensure that student-athletes’ progress toward a degree in a defined academic program.
Keep abreast of changing rules, techniques, technologies, and philosophies relevant to NCAA Rule changes concerning Football and recruiting.

Maintain a high level of professionalism on and off the field toward student athletes, other coaches, parents, administrators, and members of the community.
Must adhere to all policies and regulations and carry out any other duties that the head coach designates.
Other Duties
Attend all Athletic Department coach’s meetings.
Assist offensive coordinator with video/breakdown analysis and scouting of opponents as requested. Train with student-athletes who may need additional time or individual coaching in order to maintain and improve their abilities.
Communicate with individuals who contact Bentley about the program, and answer inquiries as needed via e-mail, telephone, or mail.
Represent Bentley University in a professional way as host and visitor to other teams.
Assist with other administrative or coaching duties as requested by the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator when needed.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree (B.A. or B.S.) in a related discipline from an accredited four-year collegiate institution.
6+ years football coaching experience at the intercollegiate level or high school level. Experience in coaching and knowledge of the fundamentals, tactics, and strategies of coaching Football with ability to recruit talented players for the program.
Proven ability to provide mentoring and leadership to student-athletes and a commitment to student athlete welfare. Demonstrated knowledge of and adherence to NCAA/conference rules and requirements relevant to the conduct of an intercollegiate program.
Proven ability to work effectively with diverse groups.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Excellent analytical, time management and decision-making skills.
Ability to work and/or travel, include evening, weekend, or limited overnight assignments.
Holding and maintaining a valid, unrestricted United States driver’s license, with an insurable driving history as determined by Bentley’s insurance carrier is preferred.
Work Environment
The work environment includes standard office time, but more often time is spent outside on the playing fields at practices and games.
A significant amount of time is also spent at traveling tournaments for recruiting purposes and other gym/training facilities.
May require the ability to work in an outdoor environment in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat and cold. Every practice involves physical effort whether it be demonstrating a skill or conditioning.
Responsible for design, development, implementation, monitoring, education and assessment of strength and conditioning for the Football Team
