The University of Evansville, a proud member of the Missouri Valley Conference, invites applications for the position of Associate Head Track & Field Coach. This full-time position assists the Head Coach with all aspects of the NCAA Division I Men’s and Women’s Track & Field and Cross Country programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in all coaching duties, including practice planning, training sessions, and meet-day preparation.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to student-athletes, encouraging academic achievement, athletic excellence, personal growth, and community engagement.
• Support the Head Coach in the coordination of team community service projects and initiatives that align with the mission of the University.
• Assist in all aspects of recruiting, including talent identification, outreach, and evaluation of prospective student-athletes.
• Ensure compliance with all NCAA, Missouri Valley Conference, and University regulations.
• Maintain effective communication and positive relationships with student-athletes, coaches, faculty, staff, and the broader campus community.
• Support student-athlete academic progress and personal development.
• Perform administrative responsibilities as assigned by the Head Coach.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree preferred
• Prior experience in coaching Track & Field and/or Cross Country at the collegiate level
• Current CPR, First Aid, and/or AED certification
• Knowledge of NCAA and Missouri Valley Conference rules and regulations
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to travel and work evenings and weekends as needed
• Demonstrated commitment to student-athlete well-being and holistic development
