KNOWLEDGE REQUIRED BY THE POSITION Knowledge of intercollegiate athletics.
Knowledge of university admissions and eligibility standards.
Knowledge of academic support programming for student athletes.
Skill in the delegation of responsibility and authority.
Skill in the operation of computers and job-related software programs.
Skill in decision making and problem solving.
Skill in interpersonal relations and in dealing with the public.
Skill in oral and written communication.
SUPERVISORY CONTROLS
The Athletics Director assigns work in terms of program goals and objectives. The supervisor reviews work through conferences, reports, and observation of program activities.
GUIDELINES
Guidelines include university policies and procedures and NCAA regulations. These guidelines require judgment, selection and interpretation in application.
COMPLEXITY/SCOPE OF WORK
The work consists of varied management duties. The variety of functions to be managed contributes to the complexity of the position.
The purpose of this position is to direct student athlete academic support and service programs. Success in this position contributes to the success of those programs and advances the mission of the university.

Contacts are typically with co-workers, other university personnel, faculty, staff, students, and members of the general public.
Contacts are typically to give or exchange information, to resolve problems, to provide services, to motivate or influence persons, or to justify, defend or settle matters.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
The work is typically performed while sitting at a desk or table or while intermittently sitting, standing, or stooping. The employee frequently lifts light and heavy objects.
The work is typically performed in an office and outdoors, occasionally in cold or inclement weather.
SUPERVISORY AND MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITY
None.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and level of competency commonly associated with the completion of a baccalaureate degree in a course of study related to the occupational field.
Experience sufficient to thoroughly understand the work of subordinate positions to be able to answer questions and resolve problems, usually associated with one to three years' experience or service.
Possession of or ability to readily obtain a valid driver’s license issued by the State of Oklahoma for the type of vehicle or equipment operated.
Annual salary $54,888.00 with excellent benefits, including generous leave time.
