Position Summary:

Henderson State University, an NCAA Division II member of the Great American Conference, is accepting applications for the position of associate athletic trainer.

The associate athletic trainer will report to the Assistant Athletics Director for Sports Medicine for all matters pertaining to Henderson State University athletics.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Sports coverage with travel
• Athletic training room supervision
• Clinical education instruction, as well as campus and community service
• This position will require work outside of regular business hours including evenings and weekend
• This position will require travel.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

The well qualified candidate will have experience in teaching, and experience working as an athletic trainer in collegiate athletics.

General Days/Hours:

Monday - Friday
8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Additional hours as requested and/or needed
Regular and reliable attendance

Minimum Qualifications:

In pursuit of this commitment, NATA certification, eligibility for Arkansas Athletic Training licensure and a Master’s degree are required.

The successful applicant must possess a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is acceptable to the university and be able to lift 30lbs unaided.
