Job Description:

The Assistant Men’s Baseball Coach is responsible for assisting in the overall management of the Men’s Baseball program. This position is responsible for assisting the Head Men’s Baseball Coach in all aspects of practice and competition preparation, recruitment of student athletes, and the comprehensive operation of the program with student athlete welfare as a guiding principle. Management of the program must adhere to all budgetary guidelines, as well as NCAA, Mid American Conference (MAC) and University of Toledo policies. This position is expected to help manage a team that is highly competitive within the MAC.

The Assistant Men’s Baseball Coach is responsible for adhering to compliance, policies and procedures of the Athletic Department, University of Toledo, NCAA and MAC.

Minimum Qualifications:

Education/experience/licensing:
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Minimum of 2 years of Baseball coaching, or equivalent experience.

Communications and other skills:
• Ability to effectively communicate and counsel student-athletes on requirements for personal conduct, academic performance and athletic performance.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Demonstrate professional conduct and ethical behavior.
• Ability to comply with all policies and regulations of the University, MAC and NCAA.
