Temple University's Athletics Department is searching for an Assistant Men's Basketball Coach .

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Head Coach, the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach assists in developing a competitive Division I Men’s Basketball program. The primary role of the Assistant Coach is to teach student-athletes the game of basketball. The Assistant Coach will work on the fundamentals of the sport, instructing during scheduled practices and meetings from Monday to Friday, and preparing for competitions.
The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach supports the Head Coach by providing leadership and integrity to the program established by the Head Coach, which includes, but is not limited to: creating, planning, organizing, motivating, communicating, and managing aspects related to recruiting, practices, competitions, student-athletes, and associated booster clubs. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is expected to conduct themselves in a manner that reflects positively on the University, the Department, and the sport, both on and off the field of competition. The Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach is also expected to be knowledgeable about and comply with NCAA regulations governing their sport, as well as NCAA and conference policies regarding recruiting, eligibility, ethical standards, playing seasons, and extra benefits. Evidence of the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach's understanding of these rules and policies will be demonstrated by meeting the Departmental expectation of successfully completing the annually administered NCAA Coaches Exam. Additionally, the Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach performs other duties as assigned.

Required Education & Experience:

Bachelor's degree and at least two years of previous Basketball experience as a collegiate coach and/or collegiate student-athlete. Experience administering Division I NCAA rules. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
