The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Asst. Coach – Women’s Rowing for Athletics. Under the direct supervision of the Head Coach, to assist in establishing and maintaining a nationally competitive intercollegiate women’s rowing program in the Big Ten and
NCAA
.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
The position will assist in all aspects of the rowing program, including recruiting, coaching current student-athletes on and off the water, assisting in fundraising, assisting in alumni relations. Assistant coach must have an understanding of technical knowledge of the sport of Rowing with the ability to help develop the student-athlete to their full potential.
This position is responsible to coordinate and organize operations of the program on a daily basis.
This person will assist with scheduling travel, equipment ordering and distribution, and coordinating details as it related to needs of the team for both home and away competitions.

Immunization Requirements
Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees, Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
