Job Summary

The University of Michigan is seeking a highly talented Assistant Men's Ice Hockey Coach. This position will be responsible for all phases of a Division I Men's Ice Hockey program, within University, Big 10 Conference and NCAA rules and regulations. The responsibilities include, but not limited to on-ice training of team and individuals, recruitment of prospective student-athletes, community relations, and assisting student-athletes to achieve exceptionally high athletic and academic goals.

Responsibilities*

  • Assist the head coach in the planning, organizing, directing, and implementing all phases of a Division I ice hockey program.

  • Assist in organizing, planning, and managing practices and games.

  • Use of video editing software, Sport Logiq, XOS, to analyze any and all aspects of each game.

  • Responsible for communicating all video analysis to student athletes individually and in a team setting.

  • Assemble and prepare scouting reports of upcoming opponents and post-game reports.
