Job Description:
The Assistant Sports Performance Coordinator works within the Sports Performance department to help physically prepare Coppin State Student Athletes for the demands of intercollegiate athletics. The Assistant Sports Performance Coordinator will be the lead Performance Coach for four to five teams and will assist in the physical preparation of other Coppin State student athletes. The Assistant Sports Performance coordinator will work closely with athletes, coaches, the medical staff, and other members of the Coppin State Athletic Department to maximize the success of our student athletes and department as a whole.
Responsibilities:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
NSCA Certified Strength & Conditioning Specialist or CSCC Strength & Conditioning Coach Certified
6 months of intercollegiate athletic experience
CPR, AED, and First Aid certified
Valid driver’s License
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related fields (Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology, etc.)
Graduate degree in related field (Exercise Science, Human Performance, Kinesiology, Strength & Conditioning)
1-2 years of intercollegiate athletic experience
