Commitment expected for the Fall 2025 and Spring 2026 terms.
Evening and/or Sunday afternoon/evening hours required during the academic terms.
$17.50
Earned BA/BS degree by 8/15/2025 is required.
Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education:
Earned MA/MS degree by 8/15/25 is preferred but internship can be used to fulfill MA/MS requirements.
Preference given to applicants with MA/MS degrees in Student Personnel, Social Work, Counseling, Higher Education, K-12 Education or Sport Administration.
Preference is also given to applicants who have completed a Graduate Assistantship in the Athletic Academic Services profession and those active in N4A.
Must be able to articulate an understanding of the needs of a diverse range of student-athletes and have a desire to obtain future full-time employment in the Athletic Academic Services profession.
Maintain a current knowledge of the academic rules and procedures of the University, Conference and the
NCAA
.
Assist in monitoring evening study hall sessions one to two times per week, days will be determined by
AAC
staff based upon needs of the office.
Meet weekly with incoming and/or at-risk student-athletes. Monitor individualized academic plans for at-risk students.
Assist assigned student-athletes with weekly academic planning.
Refer students to the appropriate support services on campus.
Assist student-athletes in choosing a major(s) which best meets their career goals.
Assist in maintaining student-athlete academic progress to degree files.
Assist with textbook distribution each semester.
Position will likely work primarily with football student-athletes but may work with student-athletes from Olympic teams as well.

Temporary
staff employees are ineligible to receive benefits (leave, health coverage, State service credit, etc.). They are, however, covered by Worker’s Compensation provisions.
However, any non-permanent employee hired to work 30 or more hours per week for three months or more (cumulative of all positions, and not designated as variable hour worker), must be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan, within 30 days of their eligibility. Any non-permanent employee hired to work less than 30 hours per week (cumulative of all positions or designated as variable hour worker – i.e. student workers) are measured during designated measurement periods. If they average 30 or more hours per week over a designated measurement period, they will be offered the chance to enroll in the High Deductible Health Plan and will be notified of instructions.
