Athletic Administration Graduate Associate FA25
To provide comprehensive support to the athletic administration in the daily operations of the department, encompassing all 16 intercollegiate athletic programs. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in various facets of athletic administration, including fundraising, donor engagement, and game day management. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for collegiate athletics.
Responsibilities could include the following depending on the Athletic Department in which the position is under:

Athletic Administration Graduate Associate FA25
To provide comprehensive support to the athletic administration in the daily operations of the department, encompassing all 16 intercollegiate athletic programs. This role offers valuable hands-on experience in various facets of athletic administration, including fundraising, donor engagement, and game day management. The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with a strong work ethic, excellent organizational skills, and a passion for collegiate athletics.
Responsibilities could include the following depending on the Athletic Department in which the position is under:
• Administrative Support:
o Assist in the day-to-day administrative operations of the athletic department.
o Prepare and distribute correspondence, reports, and other documents as needed.
o Assist with scheduling and coordinating meetings, appointments, and events.
o Potentially Aid in compliance with
NCAA
, conference, and institutional rules and regulations.
• Fundraising and Donor Engagement:
o Assist in the development and implementation of fundraising initiatives.
o Support the cultivation and stewardship of donors and alumni.
o Assist in the organization and execution of fundraising events and activities.
o Help to maintain accurate donor records and databases.
o Assist in the creation of fundraising materials and presentations.
• Game Day Management:
o Assist in the planning and execution of game day operations for various athletic events.
o Coordinate with event staff, volunteers, and vendors.
o Assist in the management of game day logistics, including ticketing, concessions, and crowd control.
o Provide on-site support and troubleshoot issues during athletic events.
• Athletic Marketing:
o Assist in the development and implementation of marketing strategies to promote athletic events and programs.
o Aid in the creation of content for social media, website, and other marketing materials.
o Assist in the coordination of promotional events and activities.
o Help to increase game attendance and fan engagement.
o Assist in the creation of marketing reports.
• General Duties:
o Represent the athletic department in a professional and positive manner.
o Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
o Perform other duties as assigned by the designated administrator.
• Bachelor’s degree required.
• Acceptance into a graduate program at Winthrop University is required.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Knowledge of
NCAA
rules and regulations is preferred.
• Experience in fundraising or event planning is a plus.
• Passion for collegiate athletics.
• Must be able to work nights and weekends as required.
