Job Summary

Athletic Business Assistant/Travel Coordinator assists with preparing and completing various forms, documents and reports for coaches, student athletes and staff. Provides administrative support to the athletic business operations, coaches and staff. Will be responsible for maintaining all departmental files, contracts, personal files, the preparation of travel reports and reimbursements and will handle processing of all travels, requisitions and scholarships for all sports and administration.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

The Athletic Business Assistant/Coordinator carries the following duties:

  • Assists in composing and preparing correspondence for the athletics director and business manager
  • Prepare material needed by the athletics director and athletic business manager for conference, meeting, appointments, and telephone calls
  • Prepare and enter various documents to include travel, requisitions and scholarships
  • Be responsible for taking minutes for all departmental meetings
  • Represent the athletic department in meetings as assigned
  • Create and maintain databases for travel, requisitions and scholarships
  • Must be committed to maintaining compliance with NCAA and SWAC rules and regulations
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the athletics director, business manager and executive team
  • Attend various professional development when required
