Job Description
The Athletic Equipment Manager, under general direction, maintains complete oversight of athletic equipment and apparel purchases for intercollegiate sports; oversees all phases of business contracts as they pertain to athletic equipment and apparel; and performs all duties consistent with the management of a major NCAA Division I Football program, including sizing, issuing, maintaining and performing inventory of all football equipment.
This position may pay more than the salary listed above depending on the qualifications and experience of the selected candidate.
Responsibilities:
Procures, directs, and coordinates a variety of duties dealing with the purchasing, distribution, transportation, cleaning, maintenance, repair and liquidation of athletic equipment and uniforms to all student athletes for all athletic programs.
Oversees and coordinates all game day equipment preparations and setup for games. Ensures that all uniforms and related apparel and equipment are maintained in a clean and serviceable condition.
Supervises student equipment managers. Establishes and ensures communication and enforcement of rules and regulations for all student workers supervised.
Maintains continual and thorough familiarity with all applicable NCAA, Conference and University rules and regulations.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Three years of related experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of football equipment (sizing, inventory).
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
