| Position Summary |
Assigned 2 teams:
Equestrian
Cheerleading& Dance Dawgs
Assist with other teams
Strength Training
* Consult with coaching staff to determine season strength goals and expectations
* Develop a plan to meet team strength goals and expectations
* Implement and track the strength program with the team, modifying where necessary, while keeping the coaching staff informed
* Teach proper lifting techniques
* Supervise strength technique and practices, especially in team settings
* For all teams that are assigned in assistance- help with the above assignments as instructed by the responsible strength & conditioning coach.
Conditioning
* Consult with coaching staff to determine season conditioning goals and expectations
* Develop a plan to meet team conditioning goals and expectations
* Implement and track the conditioning program with the team, modifying where necessary, while keeping the coaching staff informed
* Supervise conditioning technique and practices, especially in team settings
* For all teams that are assigned in assistance- help with the above assignments as instructed by the responsible strength & conditioning coach.
Counseling
* Rehabilitation- Consult with trainers regarding limitations and plan to restore athletes to full participation
* Nutrition- Provide/facilitate nutrition counseling deemed necessary by the coaching staff
* Lifestyle and Time Management
* Establish expectations and monitor behavior in the strength and conditioning facilities
Facility Maintenance & Administration
* Assist Director of S&C or Assistant Coaches with Strength and Conditioning programs
* Assist in maintaining facilities
* Maintain daily cleaning duties
* Respond to requests for information to support the Athletic Department
* Support the department by effectively communicating and keeping colleagues
informed and offering to assist and help out
* Develop relationships with the team’s coaching staff and players
* Provide administrative support as necessary
* Monitor behavior in the strength and conditioning facilities
* Track progress with each team’s goals, plans and progress
* Maintain a steady communication with the team’s coaching staff
* Share the Stegeman Annex Weight Room rules with the team and establish additional team rules with coaching staff and adhere to the rules
* With all assigned sports- attend reasonable number of home events as well as an occasional practice
* Demonstrate professionalism and a clean appearance at all times
