Position Title: Athletic Recruiting Coordinator
Reports To: Athletic Director

Classification: Part-time, 9-months, Not Benefits Eligible
POSITION OVERVIEW
The Athletic Recruiting Coordinator is an enthusiastic, dedicated, team-oriented person. The Athletic Recruiting Coordinator is responsible for managing the admissions process of recruited student-athletes, ensuring Compliance in all areas of recruiting. The ideal candidate is results-driven, self-motivated, persistent, and creative with strong interpersonal skills. This position reports to the Athletics Director.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
· To promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletic program, to include adhering to all department, institution, NCAA, and SIAC policies
· Develop and maintain a record of all sports
· Assist student-athlete applicants through the admissions process and work with coaches to actively manage recruitment pools. This activity is expected to be heaviest from January through July each year.
· Evaluate application files.
· Develop a communication flow where prospective students and their families are regularly contacted as they move through various stages of the admission funnel. Contact will be conducted by phone, email, text, and mail.
· Collaborate with coaches on a scheduled basis regarding current recruitment pool and outstanding requirements for each prospective recruit.
· Attend occasional on-campus recruitment events on nights and weekends. Work flexible hours occasionally throughout the recruitment cycle.
· Meet with prospective students and their families when they are visiting campus.
· Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit, stand, use hands to handle, or feel to talk and to hear. The employee, frequently, is required to walk, reach with hands and arms to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.
