Athletic Recruitment Coordinator

West Virginia Wesleyan College is seeking an Athletics Recruitment Coordinator to join a collaborative and creative Enrollment Management team. The successful candidate will be fun, creative, hard-working, and team-oriented. The position, answering to the Assistant Vice President for Enrollment and Marketing, will coordinate and assist the Office of Admissions and Athletics Department in reaching individual team and departmental goals for recruitment.

Responsibilities
● Regular reporting to the AVP on recruitment activities and progress by team
● Intervention and strategy efforts to assist all teams in reaching recruitment goals
● Coordination of attendance of athletes and all teams to campus recruitment events such as Open Houses and Accepted Student Events.
● Coordination of showcases and recruitment events to be held by all teams
● Assistance in coordination of weekday athletic visitors and quality control
● Data and prospect management of athletic recruits in coordination with the Athletic Department
● Travel on behalf of the College representing Wesleyan Athletics
● Event day representation for all major campus recruitment events such as Open Houses and Accepted Student Events.
● Assistance in on-boarding new athletes through virtual sessions, Early Arrival Orientations, and Orientation
● Other duties as assigned by the Assistant Vice President.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• Experience as a coach, recruiter, or athletic administrator
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Understanding of NCAA and Division II Athletics, Recruitment, and Requirements
• Demonstrated ability to work in a team framework but also independently as required
• Willingness to work weeknights and weekends
• Valid driver’s license with driving experience
• The ability to move or transport heavy boxes of material is required
