Job Description Summary
The Athletic Trainer will provide athletic services for injury prevention, evaluation, educate, and provide immediate care for the student athletes at competitions. Club teams are student-led by Wake Forest University students and manage the team. Club Sports programming promotes student development, positive co-curricular experiences, and positive representation of the university. This position requires evening and weekend work.
Job Description
Essential Functions:
Apply tape, bandages, and braces to protect or prevent injuries.
Evaluate injuries and provide first aid.
Provide feedback to team members.
Attend home club games.
Documents patient treatment per professional and regulatory standards.
Other Functions:
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities:
Degree in Athletic Training or related field from an accredited university athletic training program.
Possess Athletic Trainer licensure, certification or registration from the state.
BOC certification
CPR certification
Requires the ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare providers. Must have strong interpersonal communications and human relation skills.
