Iowa State Athletics is seeking candidates with a passion for helping student-athletes reach their full academic and personal growth potential to join our team as an academic advisor II to serve as an Athletics Academic Coordinator. The position is critical to our mission and will provide professional academic support planning, transitional programming and graduation plans to student-athletes in assigned sports (initial sport assignments will be football and track, subject to change based on department needs).
Examples of what you'll do
The ideal candidates will have solid analytical, motivational, written and verbal communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills along with a high level of academic integrity. Candidates are expected to be committed to multiculturalism and working with a diverse student body in an effort to maximize university and departmental goals and objectives. This position requires the ability to meet with students outside regular office hours that can include some evening or weekend meetings.
Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. on an on-going basis without sponsorship.
