Job Description

 

The University of Missouri Athletics Department is seeking an Athletics Business Operations Associate.  

Reporting to the Business Manager, this individual will be responsible for:

Financial Management:

• Reviewing, auditing, and processing various financial documents, including OneCard expense reports and reimbursement transactions.
• Preparing requisitions and non-purchase order vouchers.
• Completing receiving for payment.
• Preparing journal entries for transfers and expense corrections.
• Monitoring transactions to ensure charges are accurately posted to the correct accounts.
• Assisting with bids and proposals for contract agreements.

Communication and Education:

• Regularly communicating with coaches and staff to educate them on proper documentation for business transactions.

Support Services:

• Assisting with loading Commerce prepaid expense cards for staff and student-athletes.

Research and Reporting:

• Compiling and analyzing financial and operational data in Excel using formulas, pivot tables, and charts to create clear, actionable reports for decision-makers.
• Conducting research projects.

Process Improvement:

• Identifying and recommending ways to streamline operations.
• Fostering a team-oriented environment through open, respectful communication and a commitment to collaborative problem solving. 
• Demonstrating an eagerness to learn new systems, tools, and processes to continuously improve skills and support evolving development needs.

Other duties as assigned.
 
 

Shift

 

Monday-Friday 8:00am-5:00pm; Nights, Weekends, and Travel as required. 
 

Minimum Qualifications

 

A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary

Preferred Qualifications

 

Prior experience in Athletics or Business Operations is preferred.  
 

Anticipated Hiring Range

 

Salary Range: $20.00 / hour to $24.00 / hour 

Grade: GGS 08
