Provide mental health counseling for students; presents outreach and educational programs to the University community to support the mental wellbeing of students, faculty, and staff of the university.
This position provides assessment, diagnosis, and counseling for student athletes. The incumbent provides clinical services under the direction of a Licensed Sport Psychologist; conducts mental health, drug, and alcohol assessment, diagnosis, and counseling for student athletes; and develops, plans, and implements educational programs.
These essential functions include, but are not limited to, the following. Additional essential functions may be identified and included by the hiring department.
Education: A Master's Degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or related field from an accredited four-year college or university and
Experience: One (1) year of experience related to the above described duties.
Licensure: LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) or PLPC (Provisionally Licensed Professional Counselor) or LCSW (Licensed Clinical Social Worker) in the state of Mississippi or license eligible. If license eligible, must complete licensure requirements within 30 months of hire.
One (1) year of graduate level supervised counseling experience is preferred.

Motor Coordination: While performing the duties of this job, the incumbent is frequently required to talk and hear; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel. The incumbent is periodically required to sit. The incumbent is occasionally required to stand; walk; and reach with hands and arms
