Reporting to the Director of Athletics Development/Associate Director of Athletics, the Athletics Development Associate plays a vital role in supporting fundraising efforts for Fordham Athletics. This position provides comprehensive administrative support across various areas, including donor and public relations, executing mail and email fundraising appeals, and coordinating special events. The Associate will also have the opportunity to offer insights into fundraising strategies.
Frequent evening and weekend work is necessary, and occasional travel may be required.
This position will split their time between the Lincoln Center Campus and the Rose Hill Campus.
Handles communications and marketing for the Maroon Club, including development, fulfillment, and regularly updating the Maroon Club website page.
Manages all of the Athletics Development social media platforms.
Works closely with the Director to prepare and execute events.
Assists with GiveCampus campaigns, including both Giving Day initiatives, for Athletics.
Implements new and creative ideas to engage young alumni philanthropically.
Writes and edits solicitation emails/letters for varsity/club sports, as well as year-end solicitations.
Updates the fundraising dashboard for the Head Coaches and administrative staff.
Pulls bi-weekly and monthly reports for all varsity and club sports.
Ensures compliance with NCAA rules and regulations in all development activities.

Helps identify unassigned prospects.
Continuously updates all varsity sports lists of former athletes and supporters.
Leads all stewardship pieces, including thank-a-thons, for Athletics Development and the Athletics Department.
Participates actively in all key athletic events, including home football and basketball games, key games for other sports, as well as other major DAUR functions.
Bachelor’s degree or a combination of education and experience, and two years of related work experience in higher education or the equivalent.
