Communication – The student-worker will enhance their communication skills through interactions with fellow students, coaches, athletic department staff, spectators, and members of the campus community.
Teamwork – The student-worker will work in collaboration with other student-workers and athletic department staff towards a common goal. The student-worker will assume shared responsibilities related to their schedule and interests and will work with other team members to ensure that all shifts are covered and that the work is being done at a high level.
The Athletics Summer Facilities and Operations Assistant is a part-time position and is responsible for assisting the Assistant Director of Athletics for Internal Operations and the Events and Facilities Manager. This position will assist with logistics related to camps and external rentals including but not limited to: set-up and tear-down of the facility, overseeing camp events, overseeing external rental events, and assisting with creating and collecting necessary camp documentation. This position will also have the opportunity to assist with office tasks such as inputting practice and competition schedules into the facility calendars, assisting with the implementation of Teamworks Inventory Management, building out events in the ticketing system, assisting with bus itineraries, and assisting with facility summer projects.
Essential Functions:
1. Assist with set-up and tear-down of the athletic facilities for camps and external rentals.
2. Assist with the event-day management for camps and external rentals.
3. Enforce the policies and procedures of the athletic department to ensure safety for participants, staff, and spectators.
Assist with creating facility use agreements, waivers, and invoices for external rental events.
Assist with creating and monitoring camp registration sites.
Assist with facility summer projects.
Assist with the implementation of Teamworks Inventory Management in roles assigned by the Events and Facilities Manager.
Assist with other in-office tasks as assigned.
Must be willing to work during the evenings and on weekends.
Must be able to follow directions and complete tasks as assigned in a timely manner.
CPR/AED/First Aid Certified
