Assists in the performance of administrative duties to support the development, coordination, or operation of a program, project, or University department.
The University of Mississippi is conducting a search for an Athletics Intern (Strength and Conditioning-Men's Basketball). This is a temporary, twelve-month assignment to provide opportunities for recent college/university graduates beginning as soon as possible - June 15, 2026. Candidates should have a desire to pursue a career in collegiate basketball strength and conditioning.
•Assist the Men's Head Basketball Strength Coach in creating a championship strength and conditioning training environment and culture for men's basketball.
•Assist the Head Basketball S&C Coach with all things pertaining to strength and conditioning.
•Attend weight training sessions, practices, and games.
•Assist the Men's Head Basketball Strength Coach with the implementation of sport-specific programming based on peer-reviewed, evidence-based protocols to enhance the fitness, strength, power, and speed indices of the athlete.
•Energetic and enthusiastic during all group and team activities.
•Assist coaches in the recruiting process.
•Collaborate with the Athletic Trainer and Dietitian regarding injury reduction and rehabilitation plans
•Collaborate with sport science to advance your ability to translate data for sport performance
•Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities as needed.
• Ensure all assigned tasks are in compliance with department, University, Southeastern Conference, and NCAA rules and regulations.

Experience: No Experience
Licensure:
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited four-year college or university, conferred no later than the date of hire. Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or related field preferred.
CSCS or SCCC certified preferred. If not CSCS or SCCC certified, intern must be working towards certification.
