Athletics Marketing & Promotion Coordinator (Contractual) - (2500005Y)

Job Summary

This position serves to increase the awareness of the athletics department on campus and within the greater Baltimore region and beyond through marketing and engagement initiatives with the goal of increasing ticket sales and attendance. The Athletics Marketing & Promotion Coordinator plans and executes inspiring and comprehensive marketing and engagement strategy; and oversees game day experience and environment. This position also synchronizes engagement plan with overall revenue generation plans by including community partners, student groups, sponsors, donors, alumni, season-ticket holders, groups, and faculty & staff; integrates band, spirit groups, and other student-led groups into game day experience; oversees in-game production contractor; activates in-game promotions in collaboration with our sponsorship partner; and collaborates with all other external units within the department and on campus. The Athletics Marketing & Promotion Coordinator manages student and volunteer staff. 

 

Responsibilities and Duties

 

Responsibilities for the Athletics Marketing & Promotion Coordinator include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Develops the marketing strategy relevant to our current student body and enticing to the overall greater Baltimore region and implements plan to support increasing attendance and ticket sales, advancing the Towson Athletics brand and enhancing the game-day environment for all 19 sports, with emphasis on ticketed sports
