Athletics Media and Content Manager (Temp)
Reports to: Sports Information Director
Classification: Part-time, Temp, Hourly, 12.5 hours/week on average
Job Summary: The Athletics Media and Content Manager performs functions associated with oversight of the Biola University Athletic Department's media relations and event operations activities; provides positive promotion of Biola athletics through every available communication outlet and, together with the sports information director and assistant sports information director, is responsible for the production of official publications and maintenance of the Biola Athletics website.
Primary responsibilities:
a. Along with the sports information director and assistant sports information director, the athletics media and content manager supervises use of Biola Athletics (and team-specific) social media and website content with the goal of brand development and promotion.
b. Responsible for content production of athletics.biola.edu and all Biola Athletics social media accounts. Content creation experience preferred, please include a link to a portfolio of work samples with resume/application.

c. Develop a detailed and effective content strategy to promote fan engagement on social media and at home events
d. Responsible for communicating and coordinating with each of our 17 teams and their support personnel to help develop and enhance their social media accounts
e. Design graphics for social media and website usage, through Adobe Suite and/or Gipper.
f. Responsibilities may include travel for enhanced event coverage at conference tournaments and national tournaments.
g. Occasional travel with teams as assigned.
a. Coordinator of home athletic events as assigned, including supervision of the Biola Event Staff, photographers, and interns.
b. Works in conjunction with University Events and the SID staff on the annual Midnight Madness event.
c. Plans and oversees all “Cornerstone Cup” events and promotions.
d. Assists the sports information director and assistant SID with planning and executing annual Athletics Week of Giving, including team webpage buildout and creative content for each team.
e. Assists as needed with Athletics' annual events, including the Athletics Year-End Gala.
f. Supervises statistical gathering, reporting, maintenance, and historical record-keeping for sports as assigned.
g. Demonstrates knowledge of and compliance with all PacWest Conference and NCAA rules and regulations as they relate to all job responsibilities.
h. Perform additional duties as assigned.

▪ Should demonstrate high energy, inclusive and warm positive personality, and be an effective communicator of the strengths of Biola.
▪ Ability to work well with others and function as a team member. Experience in, sensitivity to, and understanding of effectively working with students, staff, and faculty of all ages and backgrounds.
▪ Able to work independently, managing his/her own workflow, prioritizing projects, and multi-tasking and planning for frequent deadlines.
▪ Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion in job performance with a cheerful, courteous, and helpful attitude.
▪ Excellent computer skills (proficiency in Adobe Suite, Google Suite, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Powerpoint a must). Ability to use office equipment, copier, fax machine, multi-line telephone.
▪ Advanced skill and experience in content creation, ability to create original graphic designs, video editing, photography and other creative outlets to highlight our student athletes
▪ Can produce digital presentations that are professional, visually attractive, and representative of the department’s excellence (advanced content production skills preferred).
▪ Able to utilize all applicable statistical gathering software (NCAA Livestats, StatCrew).
▪ Familiarity with online broadcast equipment and software (Blueframe, YouTube).
▪ Understands and embraces the vision and mission of the department and the university
▪ Two or more years of previous sports information experience is preferred.

Hiring Salary: $18.00 per hour
