The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women’s and 10 men’s programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation’s premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as “The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory.
Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey is seeking a Basketball General Manager for Intercollegiate Athletics. This position reports directly to the Head Coaches of both Men’s and Women’s Basketball.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor’s Degree and at least five (5) years of experience working in a collegiate men’s or women’s basketball program in an administrative capacity; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

| Certifications/Licenses |
- A valid driver’s license would be required for this position.
|
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Professional experience working effectively with individuals from a variety of backgrounds and perspectives, demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trusting relationships.
- Working knowledge of and ability to utilize basic office support software (word processing, email, presentation software and spreadsheets) and operate effectively within a highly regulated team environment.
- Knowledge of Big Ten Conferences and NCAA rules and regulations.
