KNOWLEDGE,SKILLS,AND ABILITIES:
- Ability to conceptualize, write, produce, shoot, and edit information/promotional videos representing the activities of the university community;
- Skills in Adobe Creative Suites programs;
- Proficient skills in Newtek 3 Play, RossXpression, and Ross Carbonite;
- Knowledge of Hitachi Cameras and various audio mixers;
- Ability to use logic and reason to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems;
- Ability to communicate abstract and concrete ideas through images and sound;
- Ability to listen to and understand information and ideas presented through spoken words and sentences;
- Ability to coordinate production and commercial inventory;
- Ability to work/train students in media production;
- Effective verbal and written communication skills;
- Working knowledge of computer (PC) applications;
- Ability to interact effectively with an increasingly diverse array of students, faculty, staff, vendors, contractors, visitors, parents, colleagues, and the general public;
- Organizational skills;
- Knowledge of NCAA rules and compliance.
ATHLETICS ADDENDUM:
As the Broadcast Productions Coordinator for the University of North Alabama, you will be expected to comply with all NCAA and Conference rules and regulations and with the provisions of gender equity as specified by Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972. You are required to participate in an annual review of relevant Conference and NCAA rules and regulations governing your position responsibilities. You are expected to advise the Athletics Director if you are aware of any violation of NCAA/conference rules or regulations in the University's athletics program. Violation of NCAA/Conference rules or regulations shall subject you to disciplinary or corrective action as set forth in the provisions of the NCAA enforcement procedures and as required by Section 11.2 of the NCAA Manual. Further, you may be terminated or disciplined for any act or omission that may give rise to a finding that the institution has violated an NCAA rule or regulation. You shall also be subject to disciplinary action for violation of any university rules, policies, regulations, or the provisions of Title IX pursuant to the policies and procedures governing university staff employees.
