JOB DESCRIPTION

USC Athletics is looking to hire a Business Strategy Analyst to join our staff and student community of 600+ individuals.  This role is responsible for working with cross-functional teams to create revenue strategies, analyze key revenue streams including ticketing, donations, and merchandising, and uncover hidden opportunities for USC Athletics. This role will also participate in strategic pricing efforts, maintain revenue forecasting models, and work closely with stakeholders to align business intelligence initiatives with organizational goals.

Additional requirements include producing clear management-level dashboards to visualize data from across the business and from various sources, including our ticket partner and internal CRM. Data visualizations will include ticket sales and gameday information in charts and heat maps, as well as dashboards on key metrics across all business lines. Projects will range across other areas of the business including fan experience, athletic development, and corporate partnerships. Potential analyses include ticket pricing, attendance projections, ticket sales velocity, season ticket member retention, season ticket member lead scoring, and gameday satisfaction.

Reporting directly to the Associate Athletic Director for Business Analytics, the Business Strategy Analyst will work in collaboration with the department’s external team, marketing and ticket sales, development office, ticket operations staff, and other units within the department. The ideal candidate will have a background in business strategy, consulting and creating data models and dashboards, and the ability to handle multiple projects at once and work well with others since many projects will involve working cross-functionally in the development of analyses and new opportunities. Knowledge of and experience working in higher education preferred. Understanding of the unique culture and needs of college athletes preferred.

This position serves a large student and staff population, must demonstrate a commitment to improving outcomes for a variety of populations, and is expected to contribute to the program’s demonstrated commitment to non-discrimination and equal opportunity for all.
