Job Summary
This position will be responsible for shooting and editing creative video content for BYU Athletics and its various digital/social media platforms. This position will work primarily with other Video Content Creators as well as Social Media Strategists for BYU Athletics, to ideate and execute unique content for BYU Athletics while ensuring branding is consistent across all digital platforms. This position will work closely with supervisors to execute recruiting and NIL video content where applicable. This position will also work on projects as assigned by its supervisor.

What You’d Be Responsible For
Plan and create video content for BYU Athletics’ digital and social media platforms
Execute “gameday” responsibilities as assigned
Create content that showcases BYU’s student-athletes, coaches, and staff’s accomplishments, unique backgrounds, and experiences
Work with supervisor as well as coaches and staff to develop recruiting video content
Assist student-athletes, as assigned, in the execution of NIL specific content obligations
Create additional video content for the athletic department at the supervisors’ direction
Ensure branding is consistent across all Athletic department platforms
Assist in the development of a cohesive brand look and content strategy and assist student employees in implementing branding
Create content for student-athletes to use in building their personal brands on their social media platforms
Assist in monitoring the social media landscape for potential issues regarding BYU Athletics
Engage and build relationships within BYU-specific and national communities
Research best-practices to implement at BYU
Complete projects under strict time constraints
Analyze campaign and individual content performance metrics
Collaborate with co-workers to determine and implement best practices across the Athletic Department digital platforms
What Qualifies You to Apply?
Required
1 year of related experience in athletics video production, social media (creative content) video production, or a related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Strong organizational and time management skills
Strong leadership skills
Strong project management skills
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite – specifically Adobe Premiere, After Effects, and Photoshop
Knowledge of new media platforms and their content, including Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, etc.
Adherence to strict department confidentiality agreements
Willingness to uphold and live by the university's Honor Code
All new employees who are members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints will be required to hold and be worthy to hold a current temple recommend, which may be verified during the application process.
Preferred:
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience working in athletics, video, and new media field
