Job Description:
The Club Sports Strength and Conditioning Coach has a primary function to lead strength and conditioning training programs for Tier A Club Sports programs by scheduling, programming, and managing their activity in the Zucconi Varsity Center.
On the coaching side, this position will support all Tier A Club Sports programs in all phases of the strength and conditioning program. This will require scheduling each program in the Zucconi facility leading into each academic semester.
All divisional employees are required to demonstrate exemplary ethical conduct and conformance to NCAA rules and regulations; the duties of the position are to be performed in compliance with all NCAA, Ivy League and ECAC rules and regulations; and any rules violations on behalf of themselves or any knowledge of violations within the division are to be reported to the appropriate parties. Employees in coaching positions are required to maintain current AED/CPR and First Aid certification (certification is available at no cost through the division).

● Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred in Exercise Science or related field.
● Certification through United States Weightlifting (USAW), the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA) or Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association (CSCCA) in the form of C.S.C.S. or S.C.C.C. required.
● A minimum 1 year of relevant experience in the strength and conditioning field.
● Excellent communication skills and the ability to relate to and motivate student-athletes.
● Strong work ethic, passion for the profession and commitment to student-athletes.
● Ability to work in a dynamic environment and be a positive member of a team.
● Knowledge with computers and its programs, telephones and printers
● Possess a willingness and ability to support a diverse and inclusive environment.
The successful candidate for this position with be required to complete a criminal background check and education verification satisfactory to Brown University prior to commencing employment.
