PURPOSE
This position is a member of the external team that will assist in executing donor-centric special events, gameday hospitality, fan engagement, fundraising efforts. Responsible for day-to-day management of Islanders Athletics social media platforms.
RESPONSIBILITIES
_ SPECIAL EVENTS _
Assist with the execution of various Islander Athletic Fund donor events including but not limited to signature athletic department fundraising events, luncheons, social/happy hours, watch parties, and tailgating.
Coordinate the solicitation for Casino Night silent auction items and building the online auction platform.
Assist with coordination of mailings of promotional materials and invitations, and direct logistical planning.
Work with and give guidance to volunteers and staff involved in event planning and execution.
Process incoming event payments with business office and Institutional Advancement.
Assist in solicitation of event sales utilizing social media, e-blasts, etc.
SOCIAL MEDIA
Oversee and participate in the creation and publishing of social content on all platforms, including Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and other emerging platforms.
Develop monthly schedule and maintain content plans and activations in the social content calendar.
Implement targeted, creative social media initiatives.
Creatively build followers and engagement on each platform.
Report and study analytics and use strategically. Deliver monthly reports.
Provide analytics for sponsored posts used in corporate fulfillment.
Stay atop of new platform opportunities and/or trends and provide guidance and feedback on applicability.
Propose creative strategy on how best to collaborate with other campus social accounts.
OTHER
Maintain compliance with the rules and regulations of the NCAA, A&M System, NCAA, Southland Conference, and any other governing body is of paramount importance to the University.
Perform other duties as assigned.
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
Bachelor’s degree.
Two (2) years of related experience in event planning and marketing including related supervisory experience.
Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to multitask and work cooperatively with others.
Strong organizational skills.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Work beyond normal office hours and/ or work on weekends.
WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO SEE

SALARY: $40,000/annually, approximately ($3,333.34/monthly)
