Simon Fraser University (SFU), a National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division II institution and a member of the Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), invites qualified candidates to apply for the full-time position of Head Coach, Strength and Conditioning. The SFU Strength and Conditioning program is a high-performance program that trains and supports student-athletes from 16 NCAA Division II varsity sports sponsored by SFU.
About the Role
The Compliance Assistant assesses, confirms, and monitors varsity athlete compliance and eligibility by following institutional, Great Northwest Athletic Conference (GNAC), Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC) and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) policies, bylaws, and regulations. The incumbent of the position oversees the coordination of athletic game scheduling; maintenance of varsity athlete records; and creation of NCAA educational initiatives. The Compliance Assistant monitors varsity athlete recruiting activities, playing season activities, championship travel, and camps/clinic activities. The incumbent of the position researches NCAA bylaw interpretations.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in sport administration, or a related field, with two years of relevant experience including experience providing administrative support in an athletic department of a post-secondary institution, OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
