Purpose

The Compliance Officer is responsible for institutional control of TSSAA compliance. This position is also responsible for the monitoring systems which assist Lipscomb Academy in complying with all TSSAA regulations governing the athletic programs. He/she personally coordinates with the athletic office, coaches, and admissions to monitor eligibility of current and prospective students in all sports programs. He/she also provides guidance for ongoing training for Lipscomb Academy staff concerning TSSAA regulations.

Overview

Maintain systems and mechanisms for rule monitoring, staff education, and the reporting of violations should they occur
Provide timely and accurate system for submission of documents to the TSSAA
Coordinate with the COO to monitor financial aid and the Good Samaritan fund
Provides for rules education, overseeing compliance systems, and monitoring of current policy related to following procedures with inquiries and on-campus visits by student athletes
Manage new employee compliance orientation
