PRIMARY DUTY: This collaborative position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Student Athlete Success Program (SASP) and contributing to initiatives that enhance student success and retention, with a specific focus on student-athletes. As the Coordinator of Academic Support for Student-Athlete Success, responsibilities also include teaching 77-150 Academic Success Coaching and 77-151 Strategies for Academic Success tailored for student-athletes. Additionally, the role involves participation in the recruitment, development, training, and supervision of student-athlete student staff to ensure the delivery of high-quality academic support services for student-athletes.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in a related field
Experience: Experience working in academic, student services, or related field.
Skills: Excellent communications skills (written, oral, and interpersonal with an emphasis in relating to student needs), exceptional interpersonal skills; collaboration; learning strategies, planning and time management skills; strong problem analysis and resolution skills
WORKING CONDITIONS: This position will work in an office environment, primarily 8 to 5, Monday - Friday, but work may sometimes require a flexible schedule based on service needs, including some early morning, night, and/or weekend hours during key periods in the academic calendar.
TYPICAL PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to lift up to 20 pounds
