Alabama State University, Intercollegiate Athletics, invites applications to fill the Coordinator of Athletic Development position. The Coordinator of Athletic Development for Intercollegiate Athletics, under the direction of the Senior Associate Athletics Director and Assistant Vice President or above, is responsible for seeking, identifying, cultivating and soliciting annual fund and major gifts and prospects. Duties and Responsibilities:

To fulfill these responsibilities, the Coordinator will perform the following key functions in the areas of fundraising and donor engagement, collaboration and relationship management, event planning and execution, communications and marketing, data management and reporting, and coordination of events and activities with other university departments.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Master's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization; or Bachelor's degree from an acceptable accredited institution in a directly related area of specialization and two years of experience directly related to the job functions; or 6 years of direct experience.
OTHER CONSIDERATIONS:
• Knowledge and understanding of all NCAA rules and regulations regarding compliance issues.
• Experience with Raiser’s Edge
• Related experience may include a combination of fundraising, external sales, external/community affairs, business development, marketing or experience that involves reaching out to external constituencies.
• Excellent interpersonal skills (position requires high visibility internally and externally). - Superior written and verbal communication skills.
• Proven computer literacy. - Experience with fundraising software.
• Experience in Athletics is preferred.
• Ability to travel.
• Position may involve bending, moving, lifting, and carrying material weighing up to 50 pounds
