The Coordinator of football design is responsible for the conception and creation of graphic design for LSU Football recruiting and another sport assigned. The position reports directly to the Director of Football Design.
Job Responsibilities
50% Responsible for the conception and creation of graphic design content for LSU Football recruiting; Assists the Director of Football Design develop graphic elements for the LSU football program, which include but are not limited to creative for official visits, presentations, individualized recruiting graphics, and other internal design needs; Develops original ideas to produce engaging and effective graphic content using all available resources for the target audience. Able to guide a project from original concept through production to completion in a timely manner and based on specific requirements and due dates; Schedules, manages and prioritizes projects; Maintains relationships with the football coaches and recruiting staff, pitch and produces football-specific concept projects, collaborates on large concept projects (Ex: preseason photo shoots, National Signing Day, etc.), and more.
35% Lead the creative design for another LSU Athletics sport as assigned. Develop the visual identity and work alongside the coaches and staff to create a sustainable season-long design both internal and external. Maintain consistent relationships with Creative Content Department, marketing and promotions teams and Sports Properties, which include but are not limited to weekly content meetings, collaborating on large concept projects (Ex: preseason photo shoots, National Signing Day, etc.), and more.
10% Collaborate with the LSU Athletics Creative Design team on other projects to enhance the brand; Knowledgeable of and ensure compliance with departmental, University, conference and NCAA procedures, rules and regulations.
5% Advances and supports LSU and Athletics Department initiatives through personal participation in educational and developmental opportunities, as well as participation in the transformational culture consistent with the values of LSU and its Athletics Department; Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Animation, Film, or a similar field of study with one year of related experience. Proven graphic design skills in a high paced, demanding professional setting. Working knowledge and experience with Apple/Mac Computers; Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite handling various software tools like Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign; Experience with Procreate (illustration software) or Adobe After Effects or other motion software. Preferred Qualifications
Experience with professional or collegiate sports teams.
Special or Physical Requirements
Willingness to work events and games which often include extended days, nights and weekends; Occasional travel is required.
