Provides clinical services to clients in individual, couples and group/workshop, and telemental health formats with emphasis on service delivery to student athletes. Generates recommendations for treatment modality and generates/implements treatment plans from evidenced-based approaches. Utilizes assessment instruments as indicated by the presenting problem.
20% - Essential - Direct Services: Crisis intervention andconsultation/outreach.
Provides crisis intervention and emergency services on-site. Periodic on-call and after-hour duties for student athletes. Engages in consultation with Athletic Department and creates effective working relationships with coaches, administrators, student athletes and psychological/medical providers. Provides education on psychological issues, their treatment, impact on performance and wellness of student athletes. Supports professional developmental needs of all trainees.
20% - Essential - Administrative Duties: Documentation and Case Conference meetings.
Completes all clinical documentation in the electronic health record in compliance with the documentation timelines. Completes all necessary documentation to assist student athletes as required by CAPS. Attends all assigned case conference meetings
10% - Essential - Administrative Duties: Collaboration, Research and Training.
Participates in development and implementation of leadership, transition, and health/wellness programming for student athletes. Participates in multidisciplinary treatment and performance teams, including, but not limited to substance abuse, eating disorders, and Clemson Peak Performance. Participates in assigned Training Seminars. Completes all Redfern Health Center mandatory training.
5% - Essential - Professional Development:
Participates in all CAPS and Student Health Services (SHS) staff meetings. Attends assigned Multicultural Seminars. At all times, adheres to American Psychological Association's (APA) Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Ethics. Adheres to Joint Commission accreditation standards and supports maintenance of APA accreditation.
Education - Master's Degree - and professional experience in a human service or social service program.
Work Exp 1+ years and eligible for independent license in the South Carolina
Education - Doctoral / Professional Degree - in Clinical/Counseling Psych from APA accredited program & internship.
Work Exp - Specialized training and experiences within the field of sport psychology. University counseling center experience. Experience in a D1 athletic department.
Licensed or licensed eligible as a psychologist in the state of South Carolina.
